This policy describes how Bill Creator handles information. It is written to match the current product. It is not a legal guarantee or marketing statement.

1. Information collected
We collect the mobile number and password you use to create an account, plus the business and billing information you enter while using the app. Session tokens are used to keep you signed in.
2. Business profile information
Business name, address, GSTIN, billing type, B2B GST calculation mode, B2C GST rate, HSN configurations, and an optional business logo are stored for your account.
3. Customer and billing information
Customer name, mobile number, optional GSTIN, bill items, HSN where applicable, GST and discount values, and invoice totals are stored so you can generate, preview, print, PDF, and share bills, and view GST reports.
4. Logo and branding
If you upload a logo, it is stored with your profile and copied onto a bill when that bill is generated so historical invoices keep their original branding.
5. How information is used
Information is used to authenticate you, generate invoices, calculate GST and discounts, show bill history, provide a last-3-months sales summary, produce the Monthly GST Report you request, create Excel or PDF backups you download, show in-app retention reminders, and process account deletion you request.
6. Data storage
Account and bill data are stored in the Bill Creator PostgreSQL database associated with your user account. The API is hosted on Railway. Flutter web and Android configuration may be hosted with Firebase Hosting.
7. Data security
Access requires a signed-in session using JSON Web Tokens issued by Bill Creator. Passwords are stored as hashes. Other users cannot read your bills, profile, customers, HSN configuration, backups, or GST reports. Bill Creator does not use Firebase Authentication.
8. Backup data
If you take a backup, Bill Creator exports your user-scoped business profile, HSN configurations, customers, and bills as Excel or PDF for you to download and keep. Home backup can export one of the last three calendar months. Business Profile and Deleted Bills backups export your full user-scoped data in Excel or PDF. Backups do not include passwords, tokens, or infrastructure secrets. There is no restore or cloud backup feature in the app.
9. Data retention
Issued bills remain in Bill History for three calendar months. After that retention period, eligible bills move to Deleted Bills. Deleted Bills remain available for a 15-day grace period and are then permanently deleted according to the app’s permanent deletion schedule. The Home screen includes a short reminder to take monthly backups. When bills in Deleted Bills are approaching permanent deletion, the app may show an in-app backup reminder. Bill Creator does not send push, email, SMS, or WhatsApp deletion notifications.
10. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from inside the Bill Creator app, or through the public Delete Account webpage at /delete-account. Both methods require authentication and verification: your registered mobile number and current password, the exact confirmation DELETE, and a final confirmation. That deletes your user record, credentials, business profile, logo, HSN data, customers, bills, and bill items. There is no restore.
11. Third-party services
- Railway: backend API hosting
- PostgreSQL: application database
- Firebase Hosting: website/app hosting and configuration files
Bill Creator does not use Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Cloud Firestore, Gemini, advertising, or in-app analytics tracking. WhatsApp sharing opens a message link on your device and does not upload your invoice file to Bill Creator servers.
